Aquatic Boot Camp

The Randolph YMCA is featuring a new water-based program, Aquatic Boot Camp, designed around the Hydroworx X80 underwater treadmill. It is a 45 minute high-intensity workout including upper-body exercises, spinning, tethered swimming, and core and lower-body strength moves. It is the same type of program that world class runners use for training.

The addition of three X80's to the already superior aquatic training equipment at the Randolph YMCA has enhanced staff's ability to meet the needs of all segments of our membership, from elite athletes to people needing rehab after injury or members looking for a new and different form of workout.

For more information, check out the article in Runner's World at http://news.runnersworld.com/2012/03/19/aquatic-boot-camp-not-for-wimps/ or call Kathy Fisher at the Randolph Y at 973-366-1120 ext. 14.

Recipe forms are available at the Front Desk of the Y, and need to be returned by June 1st for inclusion in the first edition of the book. The cookbook will be ready for sale later this year, just in time for holiday gift giving.
